Dealing with a bad breakup with the ex and I, trying to rehab our giant old house by myself now. Selling off old Camaro parts, and might part with an Acoustic cab as well. I was wanting some opinions on "what would you do!?" if you were me... Luckily my buddy that I play with will buy either my G60T or G100T (so it'd be like I never even sold it, but I'd have the cash), but I have three big bass cabs, and could part ways with one maybe. I love my 360/361 more than...

Cuzin Locust, if you please! Say, I also remember seeing a PBS special from England, shown a few months ago, where Billy Joel's bassist was using a 360 bass amp. Possibly 1972-74 era; also in the user listing, was the band name of Beck, (Jeff Beck) Bogart & Appice supposed to be listed together as one "band" name vs. 2 separate listings? Just curious, Thanks!

Hey Cuzin Locust! On the historical users list, please add the 70's band Bloodrock to the list! Inside the Bloodrock Live gatefold cover, on the bottom right is a photo of a 361 bottom, the head is not clearly seen; and also on ebay right now is a collection of 5 photo's from the mid 70's... 73/74 era with Paul McCartney using a Rick bass and a 360/361 is behind him! Who collaborated on the "Collaboration Series" BC2 and 115BK Karlson-type cabinets?

from pictures at Job Ulfman's Karlson Speaker Project of Walter Zintz's Transylvania Power Company's "KHYBOE", that was the basis for the little Karlson-type 115BK and BC2 cabinets. What's their history with regards to whom was involved and the time period? Having only about two cubic foot rear chamber, low frequency rolloff in half space with JBL or EV comes into play under 80Hz. My samples of 115BK are very well made.

Saw Peter Frampton last nite and he played on a rotating stage .When the stage came around back there it was an Acoustic 360 no wood casing around the head and rack mounted.I smiled the whole nite as it kept passing me!!

Sorry for being really boring and posting something about Doug Forbes, the, ahem, owner of Acoustic Control Corporation, but he is back to his old tricks again and trying to sell schematics on ebay at $30 a shot. Perhaps $25 dollars didn't cover it the last time. He is currently trading under the name of defaudioconsulting and has a shining 100% feedback score, got through purchases and not sales.

Let the buyer beware, anyone trying to purchase schematics from this guy is...

Can anyone tell me what model combo this is. It is a 150b head in a ducted port cabinet. Looks like a 136 cabinet. There are no modifications to make the head fit it looks original in every way. Original speaker. Sounds great. Tolex and grill in great shape. The white on the grill is just reflection.
I hear that it could have been done for a NAMM show. Pre-curser to the 136 combo. Maybe Harvey can shed the light on it. He would know.

Hope this is OK to respond on the forum. Thanks for the vote of confidence Ziggy.
I have gotten e-mails and some calls over the last few years asking my advice as a collector and expert in Acoustic stuff.
I am really neither. Just a guitar player (average as best) who is infatuated with Acoustic from "Way back in the day."
I don't know much. Especially about the varoius bass amp/cabs/ or applications. Have just enjoyed the challenge of seeking and sometimes...

I have had a few Acoustic Guitar amps over the years (G60T/ 160) and for me, it is the greatest tone I have found.
After a few years without one, and always searching for that "tone" (through many other amps.....), I found a 164 in a guitar shop's basement. Needs a little work, but it is great to get ahold of my favorite amp again. Can't wait to record a new album with it.
